Jens Martin Skibsted

Jens Martin Skibsted is a designer and design thinker whose work has been collected by SFMoMA, MoMA and Le CNAP, amongst others.

Skibsted is a Founding Partner of Skibsted Ideation, Biomega and KiBiSi, which he co-founded with Danish architect Bjarke Ingels and product designer Lars Holme Larsen.

He has introduced a new path to urban sustainability by making bicycles that compete with combustion cars. Skibsted was Vice-Chair of the World Economic Forum's Global Agenda Council on Design & Innovation and is now a member of the Global Agenda Council on The Future of Cities.

He has served as a Board Member of the Danish Design Council and is currently a Board Member of the BMC (Danfoss) Foundation, the Danish Design Centre and chairman of the Danish Design Council. Skibsted has co-authored design strategy books and writes a regular column on design strategy in Fast Company and the Huffington Post. He graduated from the film school ESEC in Paris, from Copenhagen University where he studied Philosophy, from the University of California, Berkeley where he studied Project Management, and from Copenhagen University where he studied Cross Media Communication.

He launched Ogojiii, a high-end print quarterly magazine, offering cutting-edge perspectives on design, African and global affairs in June 2015.
